Well I got Starr a few weeks after I lost my first child. She was the comfort,I could ask for, She let me put diapers on her and Kristin's dress's, she also learned to say I love you, and also to dance. She loved the water, when it rained outside she would sneak outside and run, to were I could not find her for hours, when I did find her the only way I could get her to come in was with the car and say Starr, lets go for a ride. Ride' in the car were hard, she would go from front seat to back over and over again to get the windshild wipers. She was a blast, and a best friends, and I miss her with all my heart.
They will not go quietly,
the pets who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still can make us think
we hear them at the door
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them...
and always will.
